Senior Civil Design Engineer – Central London

Well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation in infrastructure and development-led design. This role offers work on a wide range of development infrastructure projects from early-stage planning through to detailed design, with a mix of technical design, project coordination, and team mentoring along with progression potential.

Base pay range

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits + Hybrid Working

Key responsibilities

  • Take a lead or delivery role on development infrastructure projects (drainage, highways, earthworks) from early planning through detailed design
  • Coordinate project tasks, liaise with clients, local authorities, and design teams
  • Mentor and support junior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant processes and standards

Key requirements

  • Strong background in drainage, highways, and earthworks design
  • Experience on UK-based residential or mixed-use developments
  • Familiarity with Section 104, 278, and 38 processes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage or similar
  • Comfortable liaising with clients, local authorities, and design teams
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and support junior engineers
