As Senior Commercial Finance Analyst you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver robust financial planning, accurate forecasting, and insightful analysis. This role will play a central part in driving efficiency, profitability, and long-term business growth during a pivotal stage in the company's development. You will be responsible for the ongoing development of all financial models, departmental reporting, unit economic analysis, and for producing financial outputs for all stakeholders including the Board, shareholders, and funding partners.

The role offers the opportunity to build and develop a budget and forecasting process for the business, in addition to implementing a program of deeper analysis into business activities and performance. You will work as part of a high calibre team, within a collaborative, supportive environment. The role offers huge exposure to working directly with senior leadership and being able to input into key commercial decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the financial lead on budgeting and forecasting cycles, coordinating inputs from teams across the business.
  • Own and develop the company's financial budget and forecasting model, including incorporating a process of monthly updates to reflect business performance and strategic direction.
  • Enhance the sophistication of financial models to support scenario planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Refine and develop unit economics reporting to provide clear insight into product, funding line, and customer-level performance.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs for the Board, working closely with the Finance Director and the Capital Markets team.
  • Partner with the data and engineering teams to ensure data inputs into the model and reports are robust and reliable.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying trends and providing actionable insight to stakeholders.
  • Support the CEO and Finance Director with ad hoc financial analysis and investor reporting.
  • Help embed a culture of commercial awareness and financial data-driven decision-making across the company.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with automation tools or programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of building, maintaining, and improving financial models.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting for Boards and investors.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

The Ideal Profile

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to see both the big picture and the fine detail.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic, action-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Curious and keen to challenge the status quo to drive improvement.
