Senior Counsel, Employment Lawyer – 14244 at Brunel University London. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced employment lawyer to join the in-house Legal Services team at Brunel. Reporting directly to the University Secretary & General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in working with the University’s HR team responsible for around 2,000 members of staff.

Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus. Salary: Competitive. Hours: Full-time. Contract Type: Permanent.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing day to day advice to members of the HR team which may include providing creative solutions to a wide range on initiatives such as reorganisations, acquisitions, in-sourcing and out-sourcing. You will also oversee litigation and be responsible for instructing external legal advice when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience as an employment lawyer with in-house experience preferred. Prior in-house experience in an education setting is desirable but not essential to the role. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.
