Senior Counsel – Legal and Compliance

We are seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance Department, supporting our Clinical and Specialty Services business (CSS). This role involves negotiating and drafting a wide range of international commercial contracts and providing legal advice on business disputes, procurement, personnel matters, and real‑estate issues. You will also deliver legal training to our global sales team and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.

The Role

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including master service agreements for manufacturing, packaging, purchase, and supply.
  • Advise on compliance policies, customer/vendor relations, and regulatory matters.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities and corporate governance.
  • Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel to senior management and regional teams.
  • Deliver legal training for the global sales organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies worldwide.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide cost‑benefit analysis for business decisions.

The Candidate

  • Outstanding academic credentials and professional training.
  • Admitted to practice law in the UK or another common‑law jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience of transactional/commercial law, ideally with a mix of large law firm and in‑house pharmaceutical experience.
  • Strong judgement and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complex legal issues for diverse audiences.
  • High integrity, discretion, and credibility within the organization.
  • A proactive, self‑starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
