We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit and Collections team here at Disney. Corporate Credit to Cash is a Center of Excellence that oversees the entire order to cash function for The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries.

This organization is broken down into distinct towers with emphasis in Customer Master Data Management, Credit, Billing, Cash Application and Collections. The Credit to Cash organization\'s purpose is to maximize profitable sales, optimize cash flow, and minimize bad debt loss. The Credit Tower reviews a counterparty\'s level of risk through analysis of financial statements, with the goal of mitigating risk where possible.

The Senior Credit Analyst collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that sales and purchases are credit assessed, which are published in a timely manner. They ensure that systems containing credit risk information are updated to support accounts receivable reporting, portfolio analysis, bad debt reserve recommendations, and enterprise-wide collaboration. They may also assist with or negotiate security instruments such as standby letters of credit. Responsibilities include mentoring, training, and overseeing the quality of the Credit Analysts\' work.

Please note: This is an office-based role. 4 days in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence of companies for new credit requests, sales orders, and policy-mandated reviews
  • Analyze credit worthiness of current and potential customers and grant credit within approval authority as necessary
  • Perform thorough financial statement analysis and present findings to leaders and stakeholders
  • Monitor risky customers regularly and update recommendations as appropriate
  • Take responsibility for specific portfolios and become a subject matter expert in those businesses or industries
  • Meet with customers and business leaders as needed; recommend risk mitigation such as Letters of Credit, guarantees, securitization, and/or deal and payment structures
  • Prepare and communicate credit recommendations and pull reports from service providers
  • Support development and implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Update Disney order approval systems and internal departmental systems when applicable
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reports, reserve recommendations, Treasury Rep letters, Global Exposure reports, and credit portfolio reporting
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders in a high email volume environment
  • Engage with executive leadership as necessary
  • Provide input on process changes and represent the Credit Team in meetings
  • May lead certain project initiatives and mentor Credit Analysts
  • Coordinate tasks with the Credit Team to support systems changes or projects

Qualifications

  • 3 years of credit experience or in a related field
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Credit analysis training or experience from lending or rating institutions
  • Understanding of bankruptcy law
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit and other security instruments
  • 1-2 years of mentoring junior team members

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business and/or equivalent work experience
