Senior Data and Analytics Manager – University of Leeds
Do you want to be part of a national network supporting the delivery of health and care research across England? Do you have experience in managing the provision of high quality data, analysis and intelligence to support strategic decision making? Do you have the skills to lead a team of data professionals to deliver an outstanding service?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the operational delivery of the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) Data and Analytics function and manage the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDNCC) Data and Analytics team. The function underpins other services and supports the strategic commitments of the RDN, providing innovative and forward-thinking solutions to the use of data to support high quality research.
You will proactively develop a profile within the RDNCC and work collaboratively with individuals and groups across the RDN and the University of Leeds, and with external stakeholders in a range of settings. Working with your Director and Head of function, you will support the delivery of the organisation-wide shift in ways of working and culture to ensure the network functions as a single organisation with a shared purpose and vision across England, and support colleagues and the team through transformation and beyond.
You will have experience of managing the development, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of reports and data visualisations which support business decision making and the achievement of organisational goals, and data management using data architecture and data governance methodologies, including management of data staging environments and data services (data dictionary, metadata management).
You may also have knowledge of the health research data landscape, an understanding of Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England (NHS E) digital strategies, and a passion for using digital and data driven approaches to drive improvement.
This role is based in the RDNCC office on Queen Street, Leeds. We work in a hybrid way with an expectation that all RDNCC staff spend at least 40% of their time in the office. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
