Join to apply for the Senior Data Manager role at Gain Theory. Overview The role of Sr. Manager of Data is a highly visible position within the team and organization. As a Sr. Manager of Data, you will have direct client responsibility, manage your team, and serve as a technical lead for direct reports and others. You will report to the Director of Data for your client squad. What You’ll Be Doing
Accountable for designing, delivering, and maintaining all aspects of the data management process for assigned clients. Direct oversight of, management of, and full accountability for work delivered by all junior data resources, some of whom may be in other global offices/time zones. Balance achieving high-quality data or modeling shape with client demands on timelines and deliverables. Identify, build, and automate data collection solutions for various data sources including ad servers, social networks, DSPs, search engines, etc. Build relationships and own communications with key data owners and contacts to ensure timely delivery of accurate, clean data. Project manage all data activities for assigned clients, including managing timelines, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating impacts to downstream dependencies. Regularly meet with client leads and line manager to coordinate account planning and client project initiatives, providing resource estimates and expected timing. Support the data lead for all assigned clients, providing key information for internal and cross-client initiatives as needed. Train and support the use of new data techniques, best practices, and tools standardized by the Data Center of Excellence.
Requirements
6-8 years+ background in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field. In-depth experience with diverse datasets, proficiency in SQL, ETL, and robust QA processes. Familiarity with DBT highly valued. Experience in the advertising ecosystem such as ad trafficking, ad servers, DSPs, media strategy, activation, and associated metrics. Media agency experience highly valued. Lead requirements gathering, project planning, and implementation for both internal data initiatives and client-side data projects. Project management skills: planning tasks, deliverables, timelines, risks, resource allocation, and overseeing multiple simultaneous projects. Ability to manage and motivate Gain Theory team members. Organized, detail-oriented, QA-focused. Valued experience with Multi-Touch Attribution solutions and/or Market Mix Modeling. Experience with Tableau or Power BI highly valued. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
