We’re looking for a Senior Designer to bring bold ideas, sharp thinking and exceptional craft to Virgin’s in-house creative studio. This is a chance to take the lead on big creative projects, champion our brand across every channel, and be the go-to person for standout design work. We’re after a conceptual thinker who can bring ideas to life with exceptional craft. You’ll be trusted to own briefs end-to-end, influence stakeholders, and help elevate the entire team’s creative output.

• Take the creative lead on large-scale projects, from campaigns to digital experiences, packaging, print, activations and more.
• You’ll come up with bold ideas, develop concepts, and carry them through to polished execution.
• Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency and pushing creative excellence across every touchpoint.
• Collaborate with teams across Virgin Red and other Virgin companies on cross-brand campaigns.
• Provide clear creative direction to agencies and partners, ensuring best-in-class design.
• Help shape and evolve our brand identity with fresh thinking, trend awareness and a strategic eye.
• Be the go-to designer for complex projects, offering both creative flair and structured delivery.

What you’ll need

• Significant design experience at senior level, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house studio work.
• A strong portfolio showcasing brand, campaign and digital design across multiple touchpoints.
• Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite and confidence using tools like Figma; motion design skills a bonus.
• The ability to manage stakeholders, influence decision-making and confidently present ideas at all levels.
• Strategic instincts paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to deliver big-picture creative thinking while rolling up your sleeves for the hands-on design work.

The extra details

Role type: Contract (approx. 12 months)
Location: London hub (1-2 days per week) & your home space
Salary: £52,500 – £60,000 plus bonus – We’re putting our salaries out there for everyone to see – no smoke and mirrors, just honest numbers. We’ll offer a salary that matches your skills, always aiming for room to grow.
