Senior Development Consultant – Development & Regeneration
Altair Ltd is a multi-disciplinary consultancy focusing on providing affordable housing for those in need. In our Development and Regeneration Directorate, we support clients to tackle the housing crisis head on through placements in teams delivering new homes and providing project and consultancy services to unblock challenges and bring forward development and regeneration sites.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Development Consultant to join the team and help deliver much needed homes.
Location: Hybrid - with the requirement to travel to office and client sites
Hours: Full time, 35 hours, Monday to Friday

We\'re working on exciting, large-scale town centre regeneration projects, transforming communities and delivering high-quality homes across the country. Our team plays a crucial role in helping clients develop strategies for growth and regeneration, addressing temporary accommodation shortages and guiding clients through every step of the process—securing grants, ensuring compliance, and implementing robust systems and processes. About you
You will have a varied range of relevant experience, with a well-established track record and experience of working in development and/or regeneration.
You will lead and manage a range of development and regeneration projects, supporting clients through project delivery, consultancy, and programme management—particularly within affordable housing. Responsibilities include client relationship management, business development, proposal and bid writing, line management, and contributing to marketing efforts. The role also involves advocating for specialist programme management functions, attending pitches, and pursuing continuous professional development.
You will be keen to develop your career in this field, being ambitious and target focused with a commitment to adding value to our clients through high-quality consultancy work.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for your own work, efficiently managing competing priorities and multiple deadlines. You will be comfortable working at all levels, including with senior clients, and will be at ease working in project specific teams within client organisations, as well as out-sourced specific projects.
With these areas in mind, the successful candidates will need to be self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for their own work and career development. You will also have an active interest in our clients’ sectors and the work we do for our clients.
