Senior Environmental Consultant Location: Remote with flexibility for site/client visits Geographic focus: Yorkshire and HumbersideType: Full-TimeSalary: £33,000 - £52,000 DOE We’re looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our growing team at Cura Terrae, a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to helping businesses thrive sustainably while protecting the planet. You’ll lead projects that make a real difference, from environmental compliance and ISO14001 systems to sustainability strategies across sectors like food & drink, chemicals, waste management, construction, and engineering. Provide expert advice on environmental legislation, policies, and best practice. Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and prepare permit applications. Act as a trusted environmental manager for clients, producing key documentation and procedures. Lead and deliver environmental projects on time, within budget, and to high standards. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Deliver training and workshops on environmental compliance and sustainability. Support business development — prepare proposals, tenders, and identify new opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a similar subject, or relevant field experience. Lead Auditor (ISO14001) qualification. 5+ years’ experience in environmental consulting or a related field. Strong knowledge of UK environmental law, sustainability principles, and ISO standards. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. ISEP, formally IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent). Exceptional report writing and analytical skills.
