Overview

Senior Financial Analyst role at Ordnance Survey – full-time, with hybrid working. Salary £50,501 - £58,919 (dependent on experience). Based at OSHQ in Southampton with approximately 2 days on-site per week.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst as part of the wider Corporate Services community. In this role you will be maintaining financial processes, systems and controls as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance. This role is key to ensuring we promote effective financial management across OS.

As Senior Financial Analyst you will also support the development and maintenance of controls and procedures and process accounting entries to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory audit requirements. You will also find yourself supporting development and maintenance of systems and processes to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance and position, so it’s important you are analytical with attention to detail.

A key part of this role will be providing advice and educating stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with financial policies and to promote understanding of financial information. You will be working closely with our Finance Business Partners to report accurate financial information for our business units and expert functions. You will also be supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and analysis of financial performance and position whilst supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Location: We operate a hybrid model. The role is based at our Southampton HQ with approximately 2 days per week on-site.
