We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our small FP&A team. The key purpose of this role is to act as a key business partner, providing critical financial insights and driving strategic decision making, as well as providing support with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the Open GI group of companies. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our Worcester location twice a week.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with executive and senior leadership across departments to understand financial needs and provide tailored financial support; act as a trusted advisor with insights based on in-depth financial analysis; lead cross-functional meetings on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Own monthly reporting to the executive team and board; develop and maintain advanced financial models; prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance and trend analyses and KPIs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting process with department heads; oversee monthly and quarterly forecasting processes; monitor budget adherence and provide updates on budget vs. actual performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial planning and analysis processes; utilise financial software and tools to streamline reporting.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support projects with financial analysis and insights; develop business cases for investments; drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems; support procurement process development for best value for money.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) – essential.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in FP&A; software development experience is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in producing complex financial analysis and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong ability to build relationships within Finance and with other departments.
  • Advanced Excel skills (macros and data analysis); knowledge of reporting tools (PowerBI) is a major asset.
  • Experience with financial systems (SAP, Jira, Salesforce) is advantageous.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and strong commercial mindset with the ability to communicate finance matters to non-finance stakeholders.
