Set the H & S strategy across office and public spaces, including policy, standards and reporting. Lead the shift from paper/manual processes to a systemised, digital operating model (e.g., LMS, structured risk assessments, incident workflows, audit and KPI dashboards). Operate on‑site, investigating incidents, managing corrective actions and ensuring event safety and crowd/visitor risk is well controlled. Partner with FM/Property on building operations, permits, contractor control and CDM touchpoints. Oversee safety for dynamic exhibitions/projects and day‑to‑day museum/library/conference activity. Own the audit framework, conduct inspections, track actions and present performance to leadership. Deliver engaging, system‑enabled training, coach leaders and build a proactive safety culture. Coach and develop your H & S Advisor; plan budgets, procure smartly and evidence value.

What you’ll bring

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). Proven senior H & S leadership spanning large corporate office buildings and public‑facing environments (e.g., museums, heritage sites, venues, retail, charity). Demonstrable implementation of H & S systems – selection, rollout, adoption and measurement. Strong incident investigation, audit/assurance and data‑led reporting to senior stakeholders. Gravitas and influence to set direction and roll up sleeves when needed.

Nice to have

IOSH membership. Experience with contractor management, CDM/client duties and major works in live environments. Prior leadership of small teams and H & S budgets.

Working pattern Hybrid: typically 3 days on site in Central London. Flexibility is important; occasional out‑of‑hours or event coverage may be required.
