Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned internal client group, you will manage and deliver an outstanding HR business service to clients. You will also act as a key facilitator and enabler of the matrixed organisation and a driver of change.

What will you be doing?

Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients, including Capability, Coverage or Function Partners, Segment Heads, Head of Performance Operations (HoPO), Performance Leaders (PLs) and other senior clients as needed to fulfil capability group/specific role requirements.
  • Understand the internal client group, their strategic people priorities and their strategic people plan (SPP) to deliver the best service as part of the team.
  • Work with Centres of Excellence and PLs to deliver HR Calendar activities (GPS, performance management, salary and bonus, promotions and talent review cycles) in line with KPMG guidelines and the client group's people plan.
  • Operate as part of a team to deliver the agreed people plan, with guidance from Lead HRBP; report actions to HoPO and Super Service Line Leader.
  • Implement internal client-specific projects to support KPMG’s people strategy and the capability and Super Service Line people plan.
  • Act as an agent of change for initiatives, embedding transformation and proactively suggesting solutions.

Delivery of People Strategy / Super Service Line People Plan:

  • With the relevant Lead HRBP, contribute to forming the strategic people plan based on knowledge and analysis of the internal client group.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP Team to roll out and monitor the plan.
  • Lead analysis of management information to identify themes and trends, and suggest HR interventions accordingly.

Delivery of HR Calendar activities:

  • Work with People Function CoEs and PeopleCentre to ensure HR policy and procedures are implemented consistently.
  • Lead or run calendar projects within the HRBP team, representing the internal client group within the People Function.
  • Collaborate with Super Service Line Leader, Service Line Leads, HoPO and recruitment/resourcing teams to understand future client group requirements at all levels, including Graduate/Student recruitment.
  • Advise on the structure of packages offered to new hires.

HR Advice:

  • Support ER to resolve isolated highly complex and/or high-risk people issues.
  • Provide coaching to leaders in effective people management.
  • Project Management: Lead HR projects and change initiatives to support the client’s people strategy and the function plan.
  • Liaise with other People Function teams (e.g., Learning or Reward) to provide a seamless service on strategic projects and calendar processes.

What will you need to do it?

  • Strong HR knowledge (CIPD qualification or equivalent)
  • Project-oriented with ability to create and work to detailed project plans
  • Experience working within a fast-moving and responsive HR team
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to operate in a complex, matrixed organisation
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong delivery focus
