We’re looking for a Senior Interaction Designer to help design and re-design digital products to provide a seamless end-to-end journey for users and improve service delivery. Key Responsibilities
Design user‑centred digital services including web content and online forms Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities and develop digital solutions Champion accessibility and user‑centred design across the organisation Analyse and interpret data, analytics and feedback to identify areas for improvement Contribute to and help ensure compliance with content and design standards. Support agile ways of working and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring junior team members
Knowledge and Experience
Educated to level 4 diploma / degree level or equivalent level of demonstrable knowledge Experience of designing accessible, responsive digital services Strong communication skills and able to write for a wide range of users Knowledge of content management systems and form‑building tools Awareness of accessibility regulations Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines This vacancy may be available as a secondment opportunity for internal Plymouth City Council employees. We are currently working remotely; however, there may be times when you need to work some of the time in one of our office locations. There may be a requirement for some occasional out of hours working to support digital requests. Normal hours of work are between 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
