Overview

The Senior Key Account Manager will promote Jazz product portfolio to NHS stakeholders across a defined territory, lead multi-channel engagement (in-person and virtual), and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets within the NHS structure. The role includes accountability for sales performance, development of territory and key account plans, and leadership in delivering cross-functional collaboration and education with Medical, MSL, and head office teams. The role may involve adjustments to customer lists and territorial boundaries as needed to maximise impact.

Responsibilities

  • Sells effectively to build belief and conviction in Jazz products across accounts and deliver financial objectives, using in-person and virtual selling methods to influence prescribing behaviours.
  • Engage clinical customers in peer-to-peer advocacy via a range of platforms (educational events, symposia, programmes) delivered virtually and in-person for measurable impact.
  • Develop and influence advocates by linking information and stakeholders across networks to support appropriate patient use beyond the KAM's own territory.
  • Orchestrate ongoing healthcare professional engagement with tailored content (approved emails and webinars).
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Jazz products, the therapy area, and approved treatments; identify opportunities to improve KAM knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to implement critical projects (e.g., Key Account Excellence) and introduce new ways of working to achieve excellence.
  • Lead additional projects as needed (e.g., leadership of team meetings and training for the KAM team) and share insights/best practices across the team.
  • Prepare and execute strong territory business and key account management plans in alignment with local ABPI/IPHA codes and cross-functional Jazz teams.
  • Use multi-channel approaches to engage customers and achieve activity and sales targets; model effective cross-functional collaboration with territory and head office colleagues.
  • Monitor performance against the plan with robust metrics and adapt to environmental and network changes.
  • Capably secure appointments in person and via remote technologies in a compliant manner; leverage cross-functional resources to support the team.
  • Identify account and locality pathway challenges and opportunities; monitor healthcare system changes and work with stakeholders to optimise access and pathways for patients.
  • Take accountability for local formulary access, removing prescribing barriers and optimising pathway placement; implement territory and key account plans.
  • Adhere to Jazz values and ABPI code of practice; maintain up-to-date training via Jazz Learns and mandated training.
  • Collaborate with the Medical team and Medical Science Liaison colleagues to ensure high-quality scientific engagement and education.
  • Profile and regularly update key customers and accounts in the CRM system; provide accurate and timely reporting of customer and business records.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Life Sciences graduate or equivalent; ABPI examination pass; fully valid driving license.
  • Excellent selling skills with experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales; proven track record in orphan disease areas and multi-channel engagement.
  • Advanced account management with business acumen and innovative project/solution delivery.
  • Experience in cross-functional teamwork, project planning, and delivering measurable outcomes; strong communication and presentation skills for in-person and virtual settings.
  • Ability to access funding for new and existing drugs with understanding of NHS structure, funding flows, and pathways.
  • Experience working with partners on joint projects delivering benefits to stakeholders and patients; proficient IT and CRM usage.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage customers via multi-channel platforms and adapt to hybrid work models.
