OverviewThe Senior Key Account Manager promotes Jazz haematology portfolio to NHS stakeholders within a defined territory, using a hybrid multi‑channel approach (in‑person and virtual) to achieve sales and performance targets. The role partners with cross‑functional teams, including MSLs and the head office, to deliver value to NHS customers and sustain engagement.The position requires leadership in cross‑functional collaboration, patient‑oriented account planning, and compliant engagement with healthcare professionals, aligned with ABPI/IPHA standards and Jazz clinical and medical processes.ResponsibilitiesSell effectively to build belief and conviction in Jazz products across accounts and achieve financial objectives through both in‑person and virtual interactions, promoting clinical attributes, benefits, and value proposition to influence prescribing behavior.Engage clinical customers in peer‑to‑peer advocacy using multi‑channel platforms (educational events, symposia, programmes) delivered virtually and in‑person; develop and influence advocates to support appropriate patient access beyond the territory.Orchestrate ongoing healthcare professional engagement with tailored content (e‑mails, webinars) and ensure comprehensive knowledge of Jazz products, therapy area, and approved treatments; identify opportunities to enhance KAM team knowledge and skills.Collaborate with the Sales Director to implement critical projects (e.g., Key Account Excellence) and adopt new ways of working; demonstrate leadership to encourage adoption of initiatives.Own and deliver flexible, high‑quality, customer‑focused account plans aligned with brand strategy and cross‑functional collaboration (sales, market access, medical colleagues); monitor performance using robust metrics and adapt to changes in environment and network.Model effective use of multi‑channel platforms, adjust customer lists and territory boundaries as required, and apply analytical tools to evaluate data, identify challenges, and support team actions.Coordinate with cross‑functional resources to execute projects, and lead local formulary access efforts by removing prescribing barriers and optimizing pathway placement.Profile and regularly update key customers in the CRM; ensure accurate and timely reporting of customer and business records using agreed performance measures.Identify account and locality pathway challenges and opportunities; monitor changes in the healthcare system to shape patient access and support business growth.Ensure ethical, professional behavior in line with Jazz values and ABPI code; support national implementation of critical business projects; share insights and best practices across the team.QualificationsExcellent selling skills with experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales; track record in orphan disease area preferred.Advanced account management skills with business acumen and ability to design innovative projects and solutions for Jazz and stakeholders.Previous disease area knowledge preferred; adaptable to multi‑channel technology usage.Proven success in securing appointments both in-person and via remote technologies; experience working in cross‑functional teams with project planning skills.Effective communicator with professional presentation skills in face‑to‑face, group engagements, and virtual meetings.Ability to access funding for drugs with understanding of NHS structure, funding flows, and pathways; experience with joint projects for patient benefits.Proficient IT skills (MS Office) and CRM experience; able to engage customers via multi‑channel platforms.Life Sciences degree or equivalent; ABPI examination pass; fully valid driving license.Education, Licenses & ComplianceLife Sciences Graduate or equivalent; ABPI examination pass; driving license; compliance with ABPI code and Jazz processes, including up‑to‑date Jazz Learns and mandated training.Company & BenefitsJazz Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharma company focused on innovating to transform patients’ lives.
