The role:
We are actively seeking a seasoned Partner and a Senior Lawyer to help lead our UK practice. This is a dynamic, remote-first environment with collaboration across a global network of tech-focused colleagues. The role requires working a good portion of time in London, with true flexibility for full-time or part-time options and a hybrid approach.

Responsibilities

  • Be instrumental in helping lead our UK practice, collaborating with APAC and Americas teams that have steered legal for rapidly growing ventures.
  • Drive business development for the firm in the UK and broader EMEA region, leveraging your network and involvement in the startup community.
  • Grow and mentor a team of lawyers servicing clients across Corporate, Commercial, Cyber & Data Privacy, Litigation, IP Protection, and Financing.
  • Develop creative, innovative solutions to client challenges to enable growth across technology law.
  • Deliver high-quality, detailed legal work that differentiates the firm.
  • Take ownership of key client relationships and matters and act as a trusted guide for tech innovators.
  • Engage in complex problem-solving, driving meaningful results and fostering collaboration within a diverse global team.
  • Build productive internal and external relationships and provide pragmatic, actionable legal advice.

Qualifications

  • Our Partners require true excellence with a track record as a 10-year+ PQE UK-qualified lawyer/solicitor; as a Senior lawyer, at least 4-year PQE.
  • Superstar generalist with deep expertise in Corporate, Commercial, Cyber & Data Privacy, IP, or Financing, and a passion for the challenges faced by tech clients.
  • Nice to have: dual qualification in another jurisdiction, experience from top-tier or boutique firms and in-house roles, and a robust professional network.
  • Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at understanding and integrating emerging technologies, particularly AI, into legal practice to enhance client solutions and firm efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills with startup/scaleup founders and C-suite teams; ability to develop pragmatic solutions with incomplete information.
  • Ability to break down complexity into actionable strategies and work independently with a self-starter mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, valuing independence, with a pioneering spirit for establishing the UK and EMEA foundations.
