Senior Legal Counsel

New Yesterday

We’re working on a senior-level opportunity for a highly skilled lawyer to join a leading global technology and services organisation. This role is designed for an individual with a unique mix of infrastructure, financing, and technology commercial contracting expertise, ideally with additional exposure to cloud and emerging technologies.

This is a UK-based remote role, where you’ll join a top-tier legal team that embraces flexible working while also enjoying regular opportunities to connect in person for team away days, strategy sessions, or collaborative working events.

The Role

This position will suit someone who thrives on high-value dealmaking, complex structuring, and visible leadership. At its core, the role involves negotiating and advising on large-scale infrastructure, project finance, and technology agreements (often exceeding £150m) with leading global investors, consultancies, and technology providers.

The role spans across servers, data centres, energy-intensive infrastructure, and hyper-cloud platforms, while also requiring a strong understanding of the financing mechanisms underpinning major technology and infrastructure transactions.

You will also be closely involved in new service development, providing legal and commercial support from initial structuring through to execution. Leadership is integral, as you will manage and develop contract managers, foster cross-regional collaboration, and act as a trusted partner to senior business stakeholders.

While the focus will be EMEA, the role will also touch on cross-border transactions in APAC and beyond, requiring agility in navigating diverse regulatory and financing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on infrastructure, financing, and large-scale outsourcing/managed services deals (£150m+)
  • Advise on hardware/software sales, project financing, and investment structures
  • Support structuring and funding of infrastructure projects, including data centres and cloud platforms
  • Partner with business leaders on new service delivery models and market expansion initiatives
  • Provide commercially pragmatic legal guidance to senior stakeholders across regions
  • Manage and develop contract managers, ensuring strong visibility and collaboration
  • Handle cross-border transactions, balancing local law with global commercial priorities

What We’re Looking For

  • UK-qualified lawyer with infrastructure, finance, and technology experience
  • Proven track record in large-scale outsourcing, managed services, and project finance transactions
  • Strong grasp of financing mechanisms for infrastructure and technology deals (essential)
  • Skilled negotiator with experience handling complex, high-value agreements
  • Collaborative leader with experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Excellent communicator, able to balance legal risk with commercial opportunity

Why This Role?

  • This is a rare opportunity for a lawyer who brings together legal, financial, and technical expertise, and who enjoys operating at the intersection of law, infrastructure, finance, and innovation. It’s ideally suited for someone ready to take ownership of transformative global deals and shape the commercial contracting function of a high-growth, market-leading organisation.
