We are looking for someone to join our team of passionate, proactive, highly motivated and driven individuals on a 12-month fixed term contract. We are seeking an individual with a legal background who demonstrates technical brilliance, commercial acumen and a true passion for our iconic global brand. Our lawyers play a key role in the business ensuring legal compliance whilst having a real seat at the table about commercial decisions. The successful candidate will be expected to drive day-to-day business matters and engage proactively with a focus on commercial, procurement and operation matters. The Kellanova Legal Team is a fun, friendly and energised department. This is a hybrid role based out of our wonderful Media City Office, Manchester and working from home.
A Taste of What You Will Be Doing
- Procurement Support -Provide all the relevant legal support for our UK plants, including all purchasing agreements, service agreements and working with the Transactions legal team, the Brand protection legal team, plants and procurement to provide the most robust legal protection. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts across a broad spectrum of areas including procurement, IT, sales, and operations.
- Legal Support -Focusing on aspects of Food law in compliance with regulations and engaging with our Regulatory and Wellness team. Provide proactive solution-focused legal advice tailored to the needs of the business with a balanced approach of commercial and compliance focus. Proactively identifying legal risk and providing commercially sound legal solutions. Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple functions in a global organisation.
- Collaborate -In collaboration with the Brands Legal Team, review and approve UK/I media activity, including social media, point of sale materials and press releases. Play a key role in the Kellogg Legal Team, as a keen team player, and importantly a strong commercial partner to the broader UK/I business, contributing to the growth and constant evolution of the Global Legal and Compliance Department as well as the in-market UK/I business.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- A UK-qualified commercial lawyer with at least 4 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or within industry and a strong academic background.
- Technical excellence in your understanding and communication of the law.
- Experience in commercial, procurement, operations and sales contracts. Commercial acumen and strong relationship development skills.
- The ability to communicate with many different levels of the business and influence key stakeholders
