Overview

Senior Manager, People Operations at myPOS. Based in London, UK or Varna/Sofia, Bulgaria. Build and lead a world-class People Operations function across our European footprint to drive efficiency, consistency, and an exceptional employee experience. You will lead a team responsible for HR systems, data, and processes end-to-end and partner with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and L&D to serve 1,100+ employees.

This role is focused on supporting growth through European expansion and M&A activity and reports to the Chief People Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Transform People Operations as the subject matter expert for HR systems, data, and processes; build scalable solutions to enable growth.
  • Streamline and automate workflows to reduce manual work, enhance employee experience, and support business expansion.
  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of core HR systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll) across Europe with scalability, integration, and consistent employee experience.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximise value from tools and systems; stay ahead of evolving HR technology trends.
  • Leverage AI to deliver innovative and efficient outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and processes across countries while allowing local adaptation where needed.
  • Drive seamless integration of acquisitions through alignment of systems, data, policies, and processes.
  • Safeguard data integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems and processes.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for HR and business leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, GDPR, and other employment regulations across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance for accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll inputs.
  • Act as trusted partner to business partners, TA, Total Rewards, and senior leadership; provide operational expertise and support.
  • Lead change management for new systems, processes, and policies; promote continuous improvement and employee-centric service delivery.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in People Operations, with a track record of transformational impact across global teams; including leading a direct team.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, payroll inputs, benefits, data management, compliance) across geographies.
  • Hands-on experience with global HR, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, Teamtailor, Greenhouse, Deel); vendor selection, process optimisation, and workflow design.
  • Strong data orientation; ability to translate people data into actionable insights that drive engagement, development, and organisational success.
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practice, balancing compliance with flexibility and scalability.
  • Global perspective with experience expanding People operations into new regions and adapting to diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
