Role Overview
SIE's Connected Content Group has a broad and deep range of skills including game development, cloud technology development, rendering & distributed systems research and platform publishing expertise. As a Senior Manager your primary focus will be on people and stakeholder management. While a solid understanding of technology is important, your primary responsibility will be to lead, inspire and support a team of talented individuals, ensuring their success and fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, collaboration and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of managers, researchers and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship and support to help them achieve their professional goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management & engineering, to define and drive research and execution roadmaps.
- Establish and encourage a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning.
- Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment, where every team member feels valued, respected, and empowered.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align CCG's efforts with the overall organisational objectives and long-term vision.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and advancements in gaming technologies and provide insights and recommendations to drive innovation.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with external partners, research institutions, and academia to utilise the latest advancements in our explorations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of researchers or developers.
- Solid understanding of technology with the demonstrable ability to effectively and clearly communicate and bridge gaps in understanding among a wide range of varying stakeholder skillsets
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, software engineering, business management or a related field is desirable.
