Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: High Wycombe, Hybrid

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong skills in enclosure design to join an exciting team. You’ll be working on cutting edge products for extreme environments, from deep-sea sensors to high-powered motors and converters. This role involves contributing across the full product lifecycle from concept and feasibility through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concept designs and feasibility studies for new products
• Deliver mechanical design work as part of integrated product teams
• Provide expertise for future business opportunities and proposals
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design and engineering practices
• Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
• Skilled in 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (fabrication, casting, welding, corrosion protection)
• Strong grasp of materials and design lifecycle processes
• Experience with demanding requirements (shock, EMC, thermal)
• Confident communicator and effective under pressure
