Location: Manchester. The role is based in Manchester; we operate a hybrid working model with regular on-site contact days, typically 1-2 days a week.
Overview
The small Procurement team sits within the Finance department. We are changing the role of procurement across the organisation, enabling clients to deliver high quality value for money services through effective procurement and contract management. We align procurement activity with our corporate objectives such as Net Zero and equality, diversity and inclusion ambitions, and have recently won an award for embedding accessibility into a tender project.
Role Details
The postholder will support the Procurement Manager to deliver value for money through the effective procurement of goods and services and in compliance with public procurement regulations. You will provide advice, guidance and support to departments across the organisation including the preparation of tender documents and supporting the evaluation and contract award process.
Responsibilities
- Support the Procurement Manager to deliver value for money through the procurement of goods and services in compliance with public procurement regulations.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to departments in the preparation of tender documents.
- Support the evaluation and contract award process.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience of public procurement.
- Thorough understanding of the Public Contract Regulations and the Procurement Act.
- Knowledge of e-procurement systems.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with limited direction.
- Understanding of the Arts Council’s duties under current equalities and diversity legislation.
