Senior Payroll & Pensions Associate – Leeds (Hybrid)

Our client, one of the UK’s leading professional services organisations is currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll & Pensions Associate for their Leeds based team.

As Senior Payroll & Pensions Associate you’ll take ownership of a designated payroll group, ensuring all data, calculations, and payments are processed accurately and in line with statutory and internal requirements. You’ll also play a key role in administering pension contributions, managing opt-ins/outs, and supporting the smooth flow of information between payroll, benefits, and pension teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for a designated group of employees, ensuring all data is accurate and compliant.
  • Stay up to date with PAYE regulations and system enhancements that impact payroll and pensions processes.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate exchange of data related to pay and benefits.
  • Resolve complex payroll and pension queries, including tax, parental leave, and contribution changes.
  • Respond to HMRC and employee queries while maintaining compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support team initiatives to deliver a best-practice payroll service.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a payroll and/or pensions role within a large or complex organisation.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with payroll software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
