Senior Principal Process Engineer at Stantec

With the AMP8 cycle well underway and delivery intensifying, we are seeking a Senior Principal Process Engineer with extensive Water & Wastewater experience to drive major projects across the North. This pivotal role can be based in Warrington, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key strategic advisor to clients, leading the technical execution of ground‑breaking projects from inception through to construction.
• Guide Project Managers to deliver projects that meet cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Mentor and develop the regional team of Process Engineers and foster strong, collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and, ideally, Chartered Engineer status.
• Demonstrated experience in the water industry.
• Technical mastery in process calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development.
• Experience in a design and construction environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and staff management skills.
