Opportunity Stantec, a globally recognized leader in water sector consulting, is looking for a Senior Principal Process Engineer with extensive wastewater experience to drive major projects across South East England. The role can be based in Brighton, Ashford, Kings Hill, or Southampton. Responsibilities
Act as a key strategic advisor to clients, leading the technical execution of groundbreaking wastewater projects from inception to construction. Guide and mentor project managers, ensuring high‑level execution that meets cost, schedule and quality objectives. Develop and refine process engineering designs, including calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development. Mentor and develop the regional team of Process Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
Qualifications
Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and preferably Chartered Engineer status. Demonstrable experience in the water industry, particularly wastewater projects. Technical mastery in process calculations, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development. Experience in a design and construction environment is beneficial. Strong leadership, communication and staff‑management skills.
