As a Senior Program Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing programs within the Control Systems (CS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
You will work under minimal supervision of our Senior Director, CS PMO to execute development programs of significant size & complexity to achieve scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements while demonstrating mastery of program management skills and thorough understanding of multiple workstreams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Customer Support.
You will lead and manage a portfolio of complex, global development programs that may span several major domestic and worldwide locations, requiring coordination of technology development and production across global locations.
You will define, generate & implement program plans to ensure business case achievement and overall alignment with our strategic objectives. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for CS programs.
You will report directly to our Senior Program Director and work out of our Yeovil, UK site on a hybrid 3+ work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate, Direct, Lead a diverse, global program team with multiple cross-functional members.
- Ability to work independently.
- Primary point of contact for Customer
- Define, Generate and Implement Program Plans, including Budget & Schedule
- Drive on-time execution.
- Adhere to the IPDS process including Flawless Launch
- Execute the Management Operating System (MOS)
- Facilitate forecast analysis.
- Facilitate capacity analysis.
- Mentor members of the team
- Facilitate positive team communications and morale.
- Present programmatic details to varying levels of leadership up to C-level executives.
- Summarize key issues & actions.
- Manage all aspects of program execution from capturing Customer requirements, design, and delivery to Customer
YOU MUST HAVE
- Extensive experience in program management or related role
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- US PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or UK APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) certification
- Experience in leading a global cross-functional team.
- Experience in leading programs in a highly matrix organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
Control Systems (CS) SBU has a broad portfolio of highly differentiated products with leading positions on Air Transport & Regional (ATR), Business & General Aviation (BGA), Defense & Space (D&S) & the emerging segment Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) platforms. The CS business has a large installed base providing significant aftermarket service opportunities.
