Serving the East of England and East Midlands, this is the largest and most complex programme of work ever undertaken by Anglian Water — securing sustainable water supplies for generations to come.This nationally significant programme involves securing planning approval for each scheme via the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, as well as developing the procurement and delivery strategy for future licenced Infrastructure Providers (IPs), who will ultimately design, build, finance, and operate the reservoir systems.As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of high-value, strategic assets or workstreams on either the Fens or Lincs Reservoir, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery against schedule and budget. You’ll oversee the achievement of key milestones across the RAPID, DCO, and DPC/SIPR procurement processes while also supporting, developing, and guiding your team to deliver strategic outcomes within your remit.This is a hybrid role, and you’ll be expected to work at least 3 days a week in person at one of our offices — in Peterborough, London, or another Anglian Water or partner location — and be available to support critical site activities when needed.**What you’ll be doing:*** **Project Delivery:** Lead and oversee one or more work packages through all stages of the reservoir programme — from design, consents and procurement through to construction and commissioning — ensuring delivery to budget, schedule, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and welfare.* **Team Leadership:** Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment and ensuring clear roles, objectives, and alignment with programme goals.* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Support effective engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and the public, ensuring alignment with the engagement strategy and timely reporting.* **Regulatory & Governance Compliance:** Ensure compliance with RAPID regulatory requirements and Anglian Water governance processes, overseeing timely documentation, approvals, and adherence to established procedures.* **Performance & Continuous Improvement:** Monitor and report on package performance, manage risks, changes, and opportunities, and drive process improvements and best practices across the programme.We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Project Manager who can lead with confidence, collaborate effectively, and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.You’ll be an experienced project manager with a proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver projects through others — inspiring, empowering, and coaching team members to succeed.
