Overview

Senior Research and Insight Analyst role at General Medical Council (GMC). This position sits in the Data Research and Insight Hub, focusing on analytical and research project management to coordinate insight-based activities across teams and produce high quality published outputs and analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver a range of insight activities across teams, including mixed methods analyses and robust content for reports aimed at diverse audiences.
  • Lead the publication process, problem-solve issues in the research and editorial workflow, and collaborate with communications and policy colleagues.
  • Manage portfolios of work for components of our flagship analytic publication, The state of medical education and practice, and lead activities such as survey development, rapid evidence searches on topical healthcare and regulatory issues, and linking with policy teams to develop evidence bases.

The person

  • Plan and oversee the development and delivery of insight outputs (e.g., discussion papers, surveys, and reports) as part of a broader team.
  • Be proactive, able to work with others to specify mixed method research, and draft high-quality text to deadlines.
  • This is a hybrid role with an expectation of one day per week in the Manchester office; flexible working options will be considered in line with GMC policy.
