Overview

Elevation Recruitment Group are looking to recruit a Senior Risk Manager for a leading international energy and utilities business. This is a senior, high-impact role with responsibility for ensuring robust risk management, internal controls, and insurance processes across UK operations.

Location and Salary

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

Salary: £100,000 + car allowance + Excellent bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UK risk and internal control framework in line with global standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and internal audits.
  • Oversee the UK insurance process, liaising with internal teams, brokers, and international stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior management, regulators, and joint venture partners to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain processes, tools, and training to strengthen risk awareness across the business.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in risk, internal control, or compliance, ideally within energy, utilities, or corporate environments.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships at senior levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, translating complex risk data into actionable insight.
  • Knowledge of quantitative risk assessment methodologies and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualifications desirable.
