Overview
If you're interested in progressing your career in developing innovative tools and being part of a hands-on, collaborative, project-based approach to solving data challenges, then we'd love to hear from you. The "Special Projects" team is Quick Release's in-house software development centre-of-excellence, developing products directly for clients, tools to support the work of our Analysts and Consultants, and internal software tools to help run the business. The team is made up of primarily full-stack developers who have moved into the team after excelling in Analyst or Consultant roles within Quick Release. We are now seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to bolster our capacity to deliver high quality software solutions, accelerate our processes and help us grow our technical capabilities.
This role will require 1-2 days per week working from a QR office, client site or shared workspace.

- Delivering on projects as part of a team of developers to create impactful products
- Writing robust and maintainable code

The primary technologies we use include Python, Django, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Terraform, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Redis, GitHub Actions and Git. We also support some legacy and smaller tools using VBA, C# and R.

- You have experience with AWS and Terraform
Benefits

AI and your application
We're aware that many candidates these days are using AI to help them with their job applications. While we understand the use of this kind of technology to assist with applications, answers copied directly from AI tend to come across very generic and detract from the quality of applications (and are easy to spot). To give yourself the best chance of letting yourself shine in your application, we strongly recommend personalising your answers based on your own skills and experience. The use of AI during assessments throughout the recruitment process will result in your application being rejected.
