Senior Software Engineer - AI

New Today

London, Hybrid – 2–3 days in office and six-figur salary

Skypath is proud to be partnering with a fast-growing technology company that’s building the leading AI-powered platform for the Corporate Travel industry. Their software helps some of the world’s most recognisable enterprises reduce risk, cut costs, protect revenue, and manage emissions in line with business and sustainability goals.

About You

You’re comfortable working across the full stack, from designing intuitive user experiences to architecting resilient back-end systems. You’re eager to learn new technologies, driven by a passion for leveraging software and data to make a tangible difference in decarbonization and enterprise transformation.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join this company’s founding engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to have a direct influence on both the product vision and engineering culture from an early stage.

You’ll build core product features, shape technical architecture, and take ownership of systems from design through deployment. Working closely with product and design, you’ll experiment, iterate quickly, and help define best practices that will scale with the business.

You’ll be based in London, with 2–3 days per week in the office, collaborating directly with leaders on key technical and strategic decisions as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end features across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure.

  • Write clean, maintainable code that balances quality and delivery speed.

Data Engineering & Systems Design

  • Develop robust data pipelines and integrations that deliver financial and emissions insights.

  • Contribute to data modeling, ETL, and analytics foundations to support enterprise use cases.

Startup Agility

  • Operate across multiple disciplines, adapting to shifting priorities and rapid growth.

  • Make pragmatic, scalable technical decisions that align with long-term goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Design to deliver impactful solutions to complex customer problems.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate enterprise requirements into technical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will…

  • Have 3+ years of software engineering experience.

  • Full-stack experience (e.g. React/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or similar).

  • Thrive in startup or early-stage environments.

  • Have experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, or analytics systems.

  • Are quick to learn new technologies and enjoy solving diverse challenges.

Plus points....

  • Experience with dbt, DuckDB, or the modern data stack.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps, or infrastructure as code.

  • Background in sustainability, carbon accounting, or financial systems.

If you’re an engineer who loves building products that matter, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to make an impact in both technology and sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.
