The Opportunity
The care sector is being transformed by technology, and we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive this transformation. You'll build Found OS, our next-generation SaaS platform that is revolutionising care home management. You'll work on the system that helps care providers manage enquiries, track occupancy, handle billing, and deliver better care to residents across the UK.
This is a hands-on role where you'll drive technical excellence while shipping fast. You'll work across the full stack (TypeScript, Node.js, React, Kubernetes), and experiment extensively with AI. We're looking for someone who embodies outcomes over output and cares deeply about solving real problems for care providers, not just writing code.
What does this role involve?
- Building high-impact features for FoundOS with a cross-functional team
- Writing clean, well-tested code that ships daily
- Collaborating with Product and Design to drive feature decisions based on care provider needs and business outcomes
- Experimenting with AI tools and integrations to enhance care provider workflows and internal productivity
- Contributing to platform evolution and improving developer experience
- Contributing to engineering culture of continuous improvement
What problems will you be solving?
- Revolutionising care management with AI - Integrate AI to automate mundane tasks, provide intelligent transcriptions and offer predictive analysis
- Building the operational backbone of care homes - Develop core FoundOS modules for enquiry tracking, resident occupancy, and billing
- Connecting the fragmented care ecosystem - Create integrations with accounting software and care planning systems; feed FoundOS data into our marketplace
- Driving strategic decisions with data - Build reporting and analytics dashboards for operators
We think you’ll be a great fit if…
- You have 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong TypeScript skills and full-stack development
- You're product-minded and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- You write clean, tested, maintainable code and believe in continuous improvement
- You're obsessed with AI and actively experiment with AI tools and productivity improvements
- You thrive with autonomy but collaborate well in a team
- You ship fast and iterate, valuing learning speed
- You're curious about eldercare and motivated by our mission
- You're eager to stay current with technology trends, especially in AI and web development
Sound like you but not 100%? Apply anyway — we’re looking for potential and passion, not a perfect CV match.
This role isn’t for you if…
- You don’t resonate with the mission to elevate later life care
- You prefer working in isolation over collaboration
- You are uncomfortable with ambiguity or prefer detailed specifications
- You haven't embraced AI tools in your development workflow
- You prioritise perfect architecture over shipping working software
- You want to specialise in a single area (e.g., pure backend or pure frontend)
Interview Process
- Screening interview led by the Talent Acquisition Lead
- First round interview led by the CTPO
- Technical assessment interview with Engineers
- Behavioral interview with Hiring Manager
- Final interview with the Co-Founder & CEO
Candidate Experience: All candidates will be informed of their application status.
- Pre-Screen & Post-Screen: You'll receive an email notification, but no specific feedback will be provided at this stage.
- Hiring Manager Interview: If unsuccessful after this interview, you will receive constructive feedback via email.
- Case Study: If not successful after the case study, you'll receive constructive feedback via email and be offered a debrief call with our Talent Lead.
- Final Interview: For final-stage candidates who are not offered the role, feedback will be provided live via a phone call
