Senior Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team delivering varied projects across the industrial, residential, retail, commercial, and healthcare sectors. You’ll lead packages of work, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and produce high-quality technical outputs to UK codes and standards.

Newcastle (Hybrid – typically 2/3 days office)

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and detailed design across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, and contractors to produce fully integrated, buildable solutions.
• Undertake inspections, surveys, and assessments of new and existing structures; compile clear technical reports.
• Use industry software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds) to deliver robust, efficient designs.
• Manage workload across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality and consistency of drawings and reports.
• Represent the team in client and design meetings, supporting bids and proposals where needed.
• Champion standards, safety, and quality (Eurocodes/UK Building Regulations).
• UK consultancy background and a clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered or near-Chartered (IStructE/ICE).
• Strong consultancy experience across common construction forms and building types.
• Excellent communicator with proven report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Organised, detail-focused, and capable of prioritising across competing deadlines.
• UK consultancy background and a clean driving licence.
