Senior Structural Engineer – Truro

We are a growing, friendly consultancy based in Truro, Devon and Cornwall. We offer structural, civil engineering and party wall services across the residential and commercial sectors, from small domestic alterations to large multi-million pound projects.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to manage and deliver projects from concept design to tender stage. You will be the principal point of contact for the engineering team, leading the technical delivery and presenting to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects, coordinating design, analysis and documentation.
• Deliver technical design, analysis and structural reports for all project stages.
• Manage and support the engineering team, delegating and verifying technical delivery.
• Prepare and present technical information to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee projects to meet scope, quality, cost and time objectives.
• Maintain and promote best practice engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience post-graduation.
• BEng/MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Currently working towards IStructE chartership.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience delivering projects to tender stage.
• Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and structural principles.
• Based in or able to travel to Truro, Cornwall.
