Senior Talent Engagement Executive – Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds or Manchester. Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector and sits as a practice group within Pinsent Masons, incorporating Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within the Flexible Services team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Talent Engagement Executive to join our Flexible Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for implementing the global talent engagement strategy within the UK, leading on Engagement and Recruitment activities for our consultant lawyer Hub.

Responsibilities

  • Engagement: Outbound engagement – contacting our talent base to maintain connectivity
  • Initiating, organising (with marketing support) and attending candidate-facing events
  • Robust database management – accurately recording activity and updating records, actively refreshing candidate profiles
  • Ownership of weekly candidate check-in meeting with the broader Account Management team
  • Maintaining talent pools in the UK
  • Recruitment: Acting as first point of contact to enquiries from new potential contractors
  • Advertising roles on LinkedIn and identifying other channels to reach talent
  • Headhunting and market mapping talent for specific roles
  • Managing the UK recruitment funnel: reviewing applications, pre-screening candidates, providing feedback to all applicants and progressing applications to the next stage
  • Providing input to continuously enhance recruitment processes
  • Collaborating with other Pinsent Masons talent teams to share talent and best practice
  • Other Responsibilities: Supporting the Talent Engagement lead on strategic engagement projects; examples include launch of a training platform and Diversity reporting
  • Establishing trusted relationships with the Account Management team
  • Seeking new and innovative ideas to engage legal talent and promote the Pinsent Masons Vario brand

Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm; flexible working requests will be considered. This role is a 6-month fixed term contract.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a professional services environment with a strong customer service mentality
  • Robust understanding of the legal market and the sectors in which Pinsent Masons operates
  • Legal or professional recruitment experience; LinkedIn Recruiter experience desirable
  • Energetic about outbound contact – making calls and keeping in touch with candidates
  • Organised and logical approach, with timely, professional and warm handling of enquiries and accurate recording of activity
  • Team player who goes the extra mile to ensure quality of output

What happens next?

Our Recruitment team will share the outcome by email after review. Typically two interview stages per vacancy, with the first stage virtually and the second stage in person at the relevant office; we strive to remain flexible depending on role and candidate needs.
