HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Manchester office.

About This Opportunity: We’re looking to recruit a Technical Application Specialist to join our Colleague Channels Platform, where you’ll deliver high-quality customer-driven software while challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting the engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Two in a Box Model: Work with the Product Owner to guide the team within Nucleus, collaborating with business, development, and third-party resources.
  • Technical Oversight: Facilitate code reviews, resolve defects, and mentor team members, including junior engineers and partner resources.
  • Project Management: Manage broader delivery aspects such as risk assessment, project planning, and documentation.
  • Implementation Support: Provide support for off-hours implementations.
  • Automation Integration: Enhance automation within the space and drive team innovation.
  • Innovation Focus: Continuously seek and implement innovative approaches to improve processes and solutions.

What We Need From You

Technical skills
  • Strong understanding of structured delivery environments, including release planning and defect management.
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot technical issues across application layers.
  • Experience with APIs and third-party vendors in a regulated or structured setting.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to coordinate and support structured release cycles, including pre-release testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (Playwright) is a plus.
