Are you a passionate Technical Artist with a love for horror games and a knack for bridging the gap between art and code?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing independent studio working on one of the most popular multiplayer horror titles in the world. You’ll help push visual quality to new heights while maintaining top performance across platforms including PC, VR, PSVR2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to create and maintain efficient and scalable art pipelines.
  • Optimise assets and scenes for multi‑platform performance, including PC, VR, and consoles.
  • Develop tools and automation scripts to improve workflows and reduce repetitive tasks in Unity.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve visual and technical issues throughout production.
  • Support the art team with shader creation, material setup, lighting, and VFX implementation.
  • Ensure all art assets meet performance and technical standards while maintaining visual quality.
  • Research and adopt new tools, techniques, and best practices in real‑time graphics and optimisation.
  • Participate in regular development meetings, providing technical insight to enhance performance and visuals.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Artist or in a similar role, on at least one shipped Unity title.
  • Strong understanding of Unity, including prefabs, lighting, shaders, materials, and performance optimisation.
  • Expertise in profiling and optimising assets for cross‑platform projects.
  • Excellent programming skills in C#.
  • Familiarity with 3D art workflows and tools such as Blender, Maya, or Substance.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical solutions for non‑technical team members.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
  • A passion for horror games and familiarity with Phasmophobia.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Why join:

  • Competitive salary and annual performance bonus.
  • 5% employer pension contribution.
  • Hybrid working and flexitime options.
  • Generous 30‑day holiday allowance, including your birthday and wellbeing day.
  • Private health insurance (including dental, vision, and travel).

  • Regular social events and opportunities to attend major industry conventions such as GDC, Gamescom, and TwitchCon.
  • Relocation support and sabbatical leave.
  • Employee recognition and referral programmes.
