What You Can Expect

  • Work to agile best practices and cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders. You’ll be using your technical skills to problem solve with our clients, as well as working on internal projects.
  • Live in-person whiteboarding sessions to problem solve as a team, alongside asynchronous communication on Teams.
  • Hybrid working with the team on client site or in our office a minimum of two days per week. Actual time spent and location will vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site.

  • Lead and Deliver: Lead complex design projects from strategy to execution, manage medium-sized assignments, structure workstreams, outcomes and deliverables, identify and manage risk, build and maintain client relationships, and foster high-performing teams.
  • Design Excellence: Produce exceptional design deliverables across the design spectrum, drive innovation, ensure quality, and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic Leadership: Build teams on complex projects, shape design approaches, influence client decisions, and mentor design colleagues. Contribute to business development by creating new client offers and enhancing existing ones.
  • Consulting: Balance internal projects with client deliverables, ensure integration of design and business objectives, and lead proposals, pitches and senior client conversations.

Qualifications

Essential requirements

  • You thrive in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Design experience for AI-powered experiences and ability to use AI to enhance creativity (generative design, prototyping with AI, prompt-based exploration).
  • A visionary and pragmatic Senior UX/UI Designer with a track record in creating and delivering services for private and public sector clients.
  • Experience in a client-facing role in an agency or consultancy, built strong client relationships and owned assignment outcomes. Experience leading proposals.
  • Collaborative and empathetic leadership style, mentoring capabilities, inclusive team environments, and a culture of excellence.
  • Comfortable working across PA industries including Consumer & Manufacturing, Public Sector, Defence & Security, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services and Transport.
  • Familiarity with trends in service design and emerging technologies, AI, automation, and digital transformation. UK Government Service Standard familiarity is a bonus.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to identify new opportunities, contribute to business development, and raise PA’s profile in product management and service design.
  • Strategic thinking and innovation skills, with proficiency in industry-standard design tools and methodologies.

Assessment process

  • Round 1: Competency interview (45 mins)
  • Round 2: Case study task (60 mins)
  • Final round: Meeting with a PA leader (60 mins)
