What you can expect

  • Work to agile best practices and collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Live in-person whiteboarding sessions to problem solve as a team, with asynchronous collaboration on Teams.
  • Hybrid working with client site or office, typically two days per week, with variation by role or assignment (up to 5 days on client site).

  • Lead complex design projects from strategy to execution, manage medium-sized assignments, structure workstreams and deliverables, mitigate risk, and maintain strong client relationships while fostering high-performing teams.
  • Produce exceptional design deliverables across the design spectrum, drive innovation, and meet project deadlines.
  • Build teams to work on complex projects, shape design approaches, influence client decisions, mentor colleagues, and support business development.
  • Balance internal projects with client deliverables, ensuring alignment of design and business objectives; lead proposals and client conversations.

Qualifications

  • Essential requirements: you thrive in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience designing for AI-powered experiences and using AI to enhance creative processes (generative design, AI-based prototyping, prompt-based exploration).
  • Visionary and pragmatic Senior UX/UI Designer with a track record delivering services for private and public sector clients.
  • Client-facing experience in an agency or consultancy; experienced in leading proposals and client relationships.
  • Collaborative and empathetic leadership style; mentoring and developing others; promoting inclusive team environments.
  • Comfortable working across PA industries including Consumer & Manufacturing, Public Sector, Defence & Security, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, and Transport.
  • Familiarity with trends in service design and emerging technologies (AI, automation, digital transformation); UK Government Service Standard is a bonus.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to identify opportunities, contribute to business development, and enhance PA’s reputation in product management and service design.
  • Strategic thinking and innovation skills; proficiency in standard design tools and methodologies.

Assessment process

  • Round 1: Competency interview (45 mins)
  • Round 2: Case study task (60 mins)
  • Final round: Meeting with a PA leader (60 mins)
