We are seeking a strategically minded and compliance-driven Senior Vendor Manager to oversee BVNK’s global third-party and outsourcing arrangements. This role will drive operational resilience by ensuring vendor risk is tightly managed while enabling scale and agility. You will own the full vendor lifecycle—from due diligence and contracting to monitoring and exit—and act as the business’s in-house expert on outsourcing regulation, including EBA Guidelines, DORA, MiCAR, and UK/EU/US/Singapore frameworks. This is a high-impact role that collaborates with Legal, Risk, Compliance, InfoSec, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure our third-party ecosystem meets regulatory and commercial expectations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Outsourcing Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Act as the SME on EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, FCA PS21/3, and global outsourcing regulatory frameworks.
• Lead outsourcing governance activities, maintain BVNK\'s outsourcing register, and ensure up-to-date documentation for critical/important third-party and intra-group arrangements.
• Lead due diligence, classification, and materiality assessments of outsourced functions; ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Ensure contracts include required provisions (audit rights, BCP/exit, sub-outsourcing, data access and ownership).
• Monitor regulatory change and coordinate implementation across the group.

• Vendor Lifecycle Management: Design and implement the group-wide vendor management framework (onboarding, performance tracking, risk monitoring, offboarding).
• Drive adoption of standardized processes, workflows and tooling for visibility, consistency, and risk control across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate vendor risk scoring, SLA metrics, issue tracking, and periodic reassessments; act as escalation point for vendor non-performance or contract breaches.

• Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Security, Product, and Finance to manage third-party risk consistently; monitor conflict of interest and concentration risk; work with Risk to document and reduce operational risk exposure.
• Lead outsourcing approval workflows and governance forums; prepare risk and contract summaries as needed.
• Support strategic sourcing decisions and procurement reviews involving critical/regulated third parties.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulators regarding outsourcing practices.

• Monitoring, Reporting & Incident Response: Implement dashboards, registers, and reporting tools for real-time oversight of vendors; align with BVNK\'s risk appetite and onboarding policies.
• Define, monitor, and enforce SLAs and KPIs; lead regular performance reviews with critical vendors and manage incident response.
• Conduct site visits or remote walkthroughs to verify controls, training, process adherence, and capacity planning; maintain audit trails to support assurance and regulatory engagement.
• Support onboarding forecasts and workforce planning to ensure vendors can scale with demand; prepare board-level outsourcing updates.

What we need from you

• 6–10+ years of experience in vendor management, third-party risk, legal/compliance operations, or outsourcing in financial services or fintech.
• Strong working knowledge of EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, and similar UK/EU frameworks.
• Experience managing outsourcing registers and interfacing with regulators or external auditors.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead complex projects without formal authority.
• Skilled at reviewing outsourcing clauses (audit rights, access to information, exit, BCP).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process management skills.

• Nice to have: Experience with regulated entities (EMIs, payment institutions, CASPs, or banks); familiarity with GRC platforms (OneTrust, Vanta) or third-party risk systems; qualifications in compliance, legal, procurement, or risk (ICA, CIPS, IRM, ISO); knowledge of MiCAR, PSD2, FCA PS21/3.
