Dark Horse is an SEO, Digital PR, PPC, and Paid Social agency that aims to make a difference for clients and employees. We offer a clear career path and are recruiting our next SEO Manager to join the growing Search Marketing team. This is a key role in building and scaling the best SEO team in the country.

The role reports directly to the Head of SEO. It is a hands-on position responsible for planning and delivering effective SEO strategies to impact clients’ bottom line.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on a number of priority clients
  • Manage a mix of e-commerce, lead-generation, local businesses, and multinational clients
  • Oversee all areas of SEO with hands-on work in technical, strategy, and client communication
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital PR team
  • Engage in ongoing training and conferences
  • Support the wider team with clients, training, and development

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an SEO role
  • Experience speaking with clients and/or internal stakeholders
  • Evidence of delivering successful SEO campaigns
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge
  • Ability to conduct thorough technical SEO audits and implement recommendations
  • Website migration experience
  • Ability to conduct forensic keyword research and gap analysis
  • Understanding of traditional SEO and the future of SEO, including generative AI and LLMs
  • Proficiency with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, AccuRanker, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
  • Experience demonstrating the impact of SEO performance to clients and stakeholders through reporting and meetings
  • Organised, good time management, and a thorough approach
  • Pride in work and a continual learning attitude

  • Aspiring public speaker at industry events
  • Willingness to help the team upskill through innovation
  • International SEO experience
  • Experience winning new business pitches
  • Experience working in an agency
