The ideal candidate will have a real passion for search engine marketing and client success, with a proven record of shaping and delivering effective SEO strategies.
Responsibilities
- Developing results-centric SEO strategies: Working with our wider internal team of specialists and clients directly to map out and deliver overarching SEO strategies for clients, inclusive of technical, on-page and content workflows.
- Keyword Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify target terms and content/optimisation opportunities, integrating these into a targeted plan.
- Workflow Management: Working with Account Managers and the Client Services team to create and manage a prioritised calendar of activity to maximise performance.
- Client delivery: Conduct on-page and off-page optimisation, ensuring best practices are applied technically and to content, metadata, and site architecture, speed and structured data.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse SEO performance through tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, AHRefs and SEMrush. Provide performance updates and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the technical and content-based SEO specialists, Paid Media, Development and Creative teams to ensure cohesive digital marketing strategies that align with client goals and enhance the overall user experience.
- SEO Audits: Regularly provide SEO audits for clients and prospects in new business alike. Present back findings, recommendations and proposed focuses and goals.
- Client Communication: Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing updates on content performance, offering strategic insights, and helping to refine SEO plans based on client feedback. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring excellent communication and client satisfaction.
- Service and team development: Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies. Proactively put forward new and innovative ideas and suggestions to evolve our service offering. Lead and present ongoing internal training on platforms, strategies, and service offerings as and when required by the business.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant role within an SEO or digital marketing environment. Experience in working on high-value client accounts with a proven track record for achieving outstanding ROI results.
- SEO Knowledge: Proven ability in on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Keyword tools and Screaming Frog.
- Wider knowledge: A good understanding of paid search and how this can work with organic search and an appreciation of how the wider marketing mix can be leveraged to achieve and expedite results. A strong understanding of HTML, and a working knowledge of natural language processing and information retrieval would be advantageous, as would a knowledge of JS & PHP is desirable.
- Communication skills: Exceptional organisation, writing, and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate technical analysis and understanding to clients.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other tools for monitoring SEO performance and making data-driven recommendations. A passion for data and problem-solving in all tasks - naturally solutions focused and proactive with ideas.
- Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think creatively, strategically and outside the box when needed.
- Team Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively communicate with internal teams and clients.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and manage multiple clients with evolving priorities and a range of workflows.
