This Position reports to: Global Solution Development Leader
Engage with existing and potential customers, consultants and contractors to develop and maintain generic or specific data centre electrification solutions that will favorably position ABB Electrification for profitable business. Lead and direct involved ABB and third-party stakeholders to ensure that a coordinated technically and commercially fit solution is accepted by the customer.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you\'ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
Work model: Hybrid with customer travel required in London
- In collaboration with ABB data centre segment and account managers; engages with existing and potential customers, consultants and contractors to develop and maintain generic or customer specific data centre electrification solutions. Assesses commercial viability with respect to competitiveness, delivery lead time and site works requirements for proposed solutions.
- Leads and directs involved ABB and third-party stakeholders to ensure that a technically and commercially fit solution is accepted by customer or appointed designate.
- Reviews and assesses customer project specifications to deliver required electrical solutions, including technical compliance statements, single line diagrams, schematic diagrams, layout and equipment drawings, and relevant equipment specifications.
- Proactively identifies and proposes improvements to existing electrification topologies and system concepts used.
- Monitors and acts on customer and ABB internal feedback on deployed solutions to further improve the technical concept and the cost position.
- Supports solution knowledge transfer across designated ABB units.
- Supports product management, R&D and Corporate Research with guidance on required attributes for products and solutions that will improve ABB\'s market position.
- Keeps abreast with and participates in global and national standardization organizations, global industry forums that have an impact on ABB\'s current and future electrification portfolio.
Qualifications for the Role
- Electrical engineering degree with one or more of electrical consulting, development, engineering or commissioning experiences
- Fully oriented data centre technical and commercial trends that have a direct or indirect impact on current and future electrification schemes required.
- Possesses detailed knowledge about ABB's global and US electrification portfolio, such as MV and LV breakers, busducts and switchgear; UPS, SCADA, automation and protection, and relevant third-party equipment such as transformers.
- Is well familiar with the offering of major competitors and channel partners active in the data centre segment.
- Leads, motivates, and coaches ad-hoc project teams and individuals.
- Builds and maintains a culture of innovation by attracting and motivating internal and external contributors.
- Full proficiency in English technical language
