We are seeking a highly motivated SHEQ Manager with a strong Health and Safety background to lead the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of our Integrated Management System. This role has a primary focus on Health & Safety, while also supporting Quality and Environmental compliance aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.

We are seeking a highly motivated SHEQ Manager with a strong Health and Safety background to lead the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of our Integrated Management System. This role has a primary focus on Health & Safety, while also supporting Quality and Environmental compliance aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.

Location & Travel

The role is ideally based in Chippenham; however, for the right candidate, a hybrid arrangement may be considered. Regular travel to the head office (within a 3-hour radius) is required, along with visits to customer sites and regional offices across the UK.

Key Objectives

• Maintain, develop, and improve the organisations SHEQ management systems, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety.
• Promote a positive SHEQ culture throughout the organisation.
• Ensure legal compliance and integrate best practices into daily operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise SHEQ processes.
• Support strategic planning to ensure SHEQ aligns with business objectives.
  
  

• Lead implementation and ongoing management of the ISO 45001 system.
• Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, maintaining risk assessments, legal registers, and incident reports.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, coordinating corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver site audits, toolbox talks, inductions, and raise H&S awareness.
• Maintain the Health & Safety risk register and support operational teams with guidance.
• Represent the company at safety events and industry groups.
  
  

• Manage the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Facilitate internal and external audits (certification bodies, customers, third-party accreditors).
• Lead quality focus groups, manage non-conformances (NCRs), and coordinate with international partners.
• Support documentation control, supplier audits, and tender submissions.
  
  

• Support compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Maintain the Environmental Register and ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
• Collect data for carbon footprint reporting (ISO 14064) and support sustainability efforts.
  
  

• Produce monthly SHEQ reports for the leadership team.
• Support ERP-based data systems and ensure effective document control.
• Communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  
  

• NEBOSH qualified (minimum), with Tech IOSH or higher membership desirable.
• Proven Health & Safety management experience, ideally in engineering, construction, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, ISO 45001, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and client-specific requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels.
• Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
• Proficient in IT systems, including ERP and document control platforms.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
