Role Overview:
The Site Manager will lead our team on client sites, supporting the maintenance of critical sites and enhancing customer satisfaction. At EMCOR UK, we believe in collaboration to build relationships, solve problems, improve performance, and deliver value.
What you'll do:
- Manage soft and hard services for your site, maintaining high levels of client and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, inspire, and manage employees and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, continuous, secure, safe, and compliant site operations. Foster teamwork and a culture of quality, service, innovation, and improvement.
- Own strategic and operational issues, delivering effective outcomes for the client and EMCOR.
- Support EMCOR teams during the transition phase to BAU service delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client representatives and EMCOR teams, ensuring high standards and consistent approach.
- Operate autonomously with support from a central team, upholding EMCOR’s mission to make customers’ lives easier through good customer relationships, excellent service, collaboration, and flexibility.
- Maintain safety, security, and compliance on highly regulated, secure sites.
- Manage and deliver sales, KPIs, profit targets, and report to management.
- Act as deputy to the Account Director when required.
- Oversee all site activities to ensure safety, security, compliance, and timely execution of maintenance and works, with proper recording for commercial recovery.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with contractual commitments and client expectations.
- Aim for £0 KPI and SLA penalty deductions.
- Collaborate with other Site Managers on growth plans through strategic management.
- Follow audit and communication plans for the contract.
- Meet regularly with client representatives to address contract issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Provide innovation, leadership, business development, and benchmarking.
- Report financial and other relevant information to the Account Director.
- Ensure team understands responsibilities regarding quality and safety, and implement action plans to meet targets.
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures (IMS, H&S, ISO14001, legislative).
- Monitor, analyze, and improve performance to maximize value and service quality.
- Develop and inspire a professional team, maintaining a training matrix and scheduling training.
- Provide operational direction, set performance objectives, and conduct annual appraisals.
- Contribute technical and operational input to the contract.
- Identify operational improvements and enhancements.
- Maintain high health and safety standards, minimizing risks.
- Address other reasonable management requests with high-quality standards.
- Promote a ‘One Team’ approach, proactively reporting and resolving site issues.
- Hire, train, engage, and retain qualified staff, managing succession, leave, and training.
- Establish contingency plans for service disruptions.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and attend client meetings as EMCOR’s senior site representative.
- Improve systems and processes for high-quality service delivery.
- Communicate operational deliverables effectively to all staff.
- Anticipate and control safety, security, operational, and performance risks.
- Manage supply chain performance for compliance, value, and improvement.
Person Specification
Who You'll Be:
- IOSH/NEBOSH accredited
- Extensive management experience
- Experience in a hard services FM environment preferred
- Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Business desirable
- Technical knowledge of engineering operations and maintenance
- Management and leadership training experience
- Knowledge of legislation and standards related to safety
- Demonstrable health and safety compliance management
- Coaching and development skills
- Valid full driving licence
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage relationships
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- High standards in quality, safety, and operational performance
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management disciplines
- Commercial awareness and budget management skills
- Resilience and good decision-making under pressure
