Site Manager/Project Manager

MAA Recruitment is looking for a Site Manager/Project Manager for a client in North Wales. The project involves the installation/erection of stainless steel tanks. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial construction projects, possibly within the oil, gas, or chemical sectors.

The candidate should be capable of building strong relationships with site personnel and client representatives.

Role:

• Responsible for daily site operations of a team of up to 10 site staff and 50 skilled tradesmen.
• Monitor and report progress using MS Project and other MS Office tools.
• Lead, motivate, and manage site teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact.
• Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental, and quality standards.
• Participate in planning meetings, progress reviews, and client coordination sessions.
• Manage permits to work, RAMS, toolbox talks, and site documentation.
• Monitor material deliveries, site logistics, and plant/equipment.
• Identify and mitigate issues or delays, escalating as appropriate.

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager/Project Manager or Senior Supervisor on large-scale engineering projects.
• Strong background in stainless steel fabrication, welding, or tank construction.
• Thorough understanding of site HSE regulations and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and method statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving license.

Compensation: Excellent rates for the right candidate.

Accommodation: Provided for candidates outside North Wales.

Contract Duration: Starting early August, until Christmas 2025, with potential extension.
