SOLICITOR/ASSOCIATE SOLICITOR – DISEASE TEAM

Associate Solicitor - £49,994+ depending on experience

Location: Glasgow

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

We are inviting applications to join our Disease Team based in our Glasgow office. In this role, you will support individuals affected by lung disease or respiratory conditions that have been caused or worsened by their workplace, through no fault of their own.

What the role involves:

• Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a team of like‑minded professionals on a mix of pre‑litigation and litigation cases.
• Court Work: Get hands‑on experience with cases in ASPIC and the Court of Session.
• Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring trainees.
• Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements.
• Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts.
• Legal Documentation: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs.
• Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court.

Who we're looking for:

• You must be able to commute to our Glasgow office.
• A minimum of 1‑year PQE is essential. Please note, trainees and NQ solicitors will not be considered.
• Must have experience in litigation, preferably involving personal injury or similar case types.
• Experience in disease cases would be advantageous, although we also welcome applications from candidates with a background in personal injury.
