The Opportunity

We are working with a leading law firm who are seeking to recruit a number of Associates to join their Tier 1 Healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing team recognised for delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service.

The Team

The healthcare sector is undergoing rapid change, driven by the challenges of an ageing population and increasing levels of lifestyle‑related chronic diseases. This firm’s multidisciplinary healthcare group advises a wide range of clients, including:

  • Public and private hospitals
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Insurance providers
  • Healthcare suppliers and distributors
  • Private equity firms specialising in healthcare investments
  • Health ministries and authorities

The team advises on a broad spectrum of healthcare matters including clinical negligence, inquests, regulatory defence, product liability, capacity and consent, and general advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applying strong technical skills and legal principles to complex matters
  • Drafting and interpreting legal documents
  • Advising on breaches of professional standards and claims management
  • Representing clinicians at inquests and before regulatory bodies
  • Liaising with clients, witnesses, and experts
  • Preparing court documents and handling hearings
  • Supporting business development and client initiatives
  • Contributing to seminars, publications, and client events

About You

  • Minimum of 1 PQE (All PQE Levels Considered)
  • Strong experience in defended clinical negligence, ideally including high‑value/multi‑million pound claims
  • Background in healthcare law is desirable
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client relationship skills
  • Qualified solicitor with current practising certificate
